Biography
JANE DEVOY - Writer/Director
Jane’s short films have been supported by AHRC, Arts Council England, British Council and Film London. Her work has screened widely at international film festivals, on UK and Danish TV and as multi-screen installations. She trained at the PWSFTviT Film School in Lodz, Poland and gained a PhD in Film by Practice at the University of Exeter/London Film School. She has taught on Filmmaking and Creative Writing programmes at the universities of Exeter and Essex. Jane’s recent short fiction has been placed and listed in several competitions and has been published in Brittle Star Magazine, Visual Verse and two anthologies. Jane is currently collaborating with a group of visually impaired writers to develop a film with integrated audio description and is co-writing a feature screenplay with award-winning Polish filmmaker Magdalena Zambrzyczka.
Jane was raised in Lancashire, spent many years living in London and is now based in Gloucestershire.
